I have had my victor stream reader for a very short time, and must I say, it is 1 of the best digital book readers for the blind. it is also very affordable and very helpfull for us as blind people. I just wish I would have found out about this device when it first came out. I have been spending lots of mony on devices to play my mp3 and wave files, and I could not use them because I can not see to read the screans on them. now that I have a victor reader stream, it has made a big impact on my life, and my wife is also very impressed. I truly want to thank Humanware for such a good device.

My constant companion is my Stream, a fabulous small device that enables me on my long intercontinental flights to listen to my favourite books or music, prepare notes for my next conference, or listen to the latest edition of Time magazine. Thank you HumanWare, not just for your great products currently on the market, but for all the exciting new developments in the pipeline!
-- Miles Hilton Barber, Blind Adventurer.

It is not common in our industry that a product be as feature rich and at a great price point, however, Humanware has accomplished this in the Victor Stream. As a frequent traveler and avid reader, I find the product a must have. I did have another book reading product before the stream however the Stream just makes all other products before it seem so antiquated. Props to the Stream developers! Great work!

"This is one of the best products I have seen come along in a long time. It is well made, works right out of the box, and reads just about any kind of book you need read. Oh, did I also mention that it can play music, and that it has one of the best text to speech synthesizers for playing text and html files I have heard?

"Man, i just love my stream  I'd love to thank Humanware's technicians for inventing such an awesome machine. Its hard to put into words how i feel-and its so very portable-and it does so many things. Now it will be easier to enjoy books-while working around the house and walking on my treadmill. The synthesizer in this little unit is superb-and i am so very privileged to be able to listen to talking books on it. I am listening to one-entitled "the cradle will fall-by mary higgins clark. Yes, i have read this book before-but it feels much different-listening to it with the Stream. What is so special here-is that i have cables that came with my cochlear implants-and they can be plugged directly into a battery-operated device such as the stream and the cables serve as headphone.  When i use the direct connection into the stream or my nls player, i only hear the units and nothing else. When say you use a set of headphones, you can still hear what is going on around you.  Not when you are connected via cochlear device to a unit such as this awesome Stream.  Now, i do have another choice and i can use headphones as well-but usually at night-since my husband also has a talking book player i use the direct connect to listen to my nls or stream.  Thank you to humanware for this great and unique portable player.
--Linda Knight,

I love my Victor Reader Stream and it travels with me wherever I go. I
listen to tunes while working out at the gym as well as listen to NLS and
Bookshare.org books whenever convenient. It's affordable price, small size
and robust features make it a "must have" for anyone with a visual
impairment!

Congratulations on the Stream update. I am thrilled to have Audible reading on the Stream.

I have friends who have the Stream who have not done as much with it as I have. It's one of the most impressive and well-planned and well-working pieces of equipment I have seen for a long time. And we're just at the beginning of its potential. I use my Stream to read while commuting to and from work and also for notetaking at work. I will even use it at music jam sessions to record the music. Thanks again for a superb product. please pass my kudos along to the right people.

The Victor Reader Stream is the most amazing piece of technology I currently own...and I use a lot of adaptive technology! I enjoy being able to read books in text or audio format. If I want to listen to music, I can do that too. If I need to record a phone number or address, I just have to press a button. I can even transfer podcasts to this little machine, and, although the external speaker isn't very loud, I sometimes use it for listening to notes or other material that I need to access immediately. I like the fact that I don't have to buy or frequently change batteries. The 15 hours of battery life is a small price to pay for this convenience. While the vocaliser synthesizer voice has no inflection, it is very clear speech. I think that about the only thing this device doesn't do is provide a calendar. Lastly, the Stream's low price allows everyone who wants one to own one. Congratulations to Humanware on creating such a wonderful device.

I just received Victor Reader Stream last week. I love it. I've been reading NLS books all week since my key arrived. I just love this product. I find the Highlight bookmark feature fascinating. I wish I had had something like this while in college.
